Our 2016 season opener – Ashley Grote finally getting to play the organ which he was so instrumental in designing and fundraising for – was a terrific success.  A large audience heard him play a wonderfully varied programme with considerable aplomb and not a little skill.  Great stuff.

The next concert is on Saturday May 14th, and is something rather different – an Evening with Claire Jones, a former Royal Harpist. Expect magical music and conversation about her life and career to date – full of ups and downs, Pembrokeshire to Buckingham Palace. Full programme and box office information is on the What’s On page.

And then we have this year’s Choral Workshop, on Saturday June 18th, from 9.30 to 5.30 with a run-through performance from 6-7pm. Brian Kay – international conductor, performer and broadcaster – will work on Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, part of which will be included in this year’s Festival. We will also tackle  parts of John Rutter’s Magnficat, as something completely different.  Full details and an application form are on the web page.
