Martin James Bartlett

Saturday 27th June

Time 7.30pm

When Martin James Bartlett won the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2014 he was only 18 years old.  The following year, 2015, he made his BBC Proms debut, and he hasn’t looked back.  Now at the ripe old age of 24, this superlatively gifted pianist is sought after around the world, for festivals, concerts, recitals and recordings.

His ‘fearless technique’ gives him mastery over hugely constrasting styles of music, which he plays with a sensitivity and wisdom far beyond his years. He is also blessed with an impish sense of humour. He has suggested a programme for the evening which will give full rein to his talents, including composers as diverse as Beethoven, JS Bach, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff – and  Gershwin.  We are truly delighted to be able to welcome him to the Priory Church, with a programme specially put together for Edington Arts from his broad and varied repertoire.

Tickets £20 front Nave, £15 rear nave, £10 sides.  Edington Angels have a 10% discount, and young people aged 18 and under come free.  Please add £2 per ticket if you buy on the door on the night.
