Choral Workshop with Chris Bruerton

Saturday 13th September

Time 10am -4.30pm

The long-awaited rescheduling of King’s Singer Chris Bruerton’s workshop for Edington Arts!

Chris will lead us in a ‘Dip into the King’s Singers’ Library’, a chance to work on some of the music which this pre-eminent ensemble tours around the world.

From Orlando de Lassus, through Vaughan Williams and Eric Whitacre to a lovely close harmony arrangement of Greensleeves by Bob Chilcott, himself a former King’s Singer, Chris will share his enormous experience and enthusiasm, enabling us to get deeper into these pieces.  At the end of the day, after tea,  to which friends and families will be welcome there will be an informal run-through of the whole programme.  Our long-term friend Crris Totney will provide rehearsal accompaniment.

The cost of the day is £25, which includes music hire and refreshments on arrival and at mid-morning, with Angels benefiting from their 10% discount, and 18 and under coming free.  Copies of the arrangement by Bob Chilcott and the Lassus will be available to buy singly or in bundles of ten if you would like them for your choir.

£25 for the day including music hire, arrival and morning refreshments.
